An Authentic Experiential Professional Learning Approach: Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Professional Learning Journey Webinar

Over two years ago, the Office of Learning Instructional Strategies (OLIS) at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce started a journey to explore high-quality instructional materials. Then, the staff studied educational coherence and discussed the implications of coherence in the classroom, in the school building, in the district, and at the state level. This empowered specialists to reflect upon how their team provides supports with coherence in mind. In summer 2023, OLIS staff began a book study of Transforming Teaching through Curriculum-Based Professional Learning.
