The Region 8 Comprehensive Center (Region 8 CC) team joined Michigan’s Statewide Summer Learning Network (SSLN) to provide support in furthering the goals of increased access, participation, and quality for summer learning and enrichment opportunities. In winter 2022, the Region 8 CC team conducted a series of sessions with representatives from Michigan school districts and community-based summer program providers. The listening sessions were designed to gather information about the current state of partnerships, the barriers and challenges facing programs, and how statewide organizations could best support local programs.
