Dyslexia Professional Learning Series

This professional learning series was delivered by the Region 8 Comprehensive Center to increase understanding and application of dyslexia issues and practices within the context of Ohio’s emergent dyslexia initiatives. This included building shared understanding of: a) the characteristics of dyslexia, the underlying causes of dyslexia, and the effects dyslexia may have on student literacy development; b) how to establish effective behavioral screening protocols for reading; and c) how to instructional support students with, or at risk for, dyslexia.
