Portfolio of Choice: Exploring Policies and Practices Providing Families with Educational Options

In recognition of National School Choice Week, on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 3 PM ET, the National Center will host a webinar-- Portfolio of Choice: Exploring Policies Providing Families with Educational Options. This webinar builds on the recently released Portfolio of Choice series of briefs, which dig deeply into six common educational choice policies in place in states across the country. Webinar participants will hear an overview from the series authors of key features of these policies, including their structure, their impact on outcomes and equity for students and across communities, and best practices in shaping and supporting equitable choice policies. The webinar will consider how conversations about education options have shifted in the COVID era, as families grapple with schooling options as never before. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the briefs’ authors and to engage with one another in discussion of how these policies and conversations are manifesting in their own states and regions.
