Rose J. Buckley, Ph.D., OH State Co-Coordinator, has over twenty years of experience in education and psychology. In her role as the Assistant Director of Technical Assistance, she worked with a team who supported State and Local Educational Agencies within a 13-state region to manage the design of on-site and web-based professional development content. She worked with leaders in SEAs and LEAs to conduct needs assessments, engage in strategic planning, and build capacity. She also collaborated to design partner-specific resources based on theory, research, and best practices.

As the Vice President of Research at Project Lead The Way, she oversaw numerous external research projects regarding the impact and outcomes of curriculum and instructional practices. She collaborated with the Product Development and Continuous Improvement teams regarding internal evaluation and strategic planning. She partnered with educators, Institutions of Higher Education, and STEM Leaders to support the design and development of project-based assessments and served as the liaison for community and educational organizations that inquired about partnerships on research projects.

In her role as Research Associate at the Center on Education and Lifelong Learning at Indiana University, Rose provided technical assistance and professional development to numerous LEAs and utilized Implementation Science Research to support system change and build capacity. She served on the IN Department of Education committee for K-12 Social Emotional Standards and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). She designed professional learning experiences related to MTSS/PBIS, Universal Design for Learning, Culturally Responsive Practices, Educational Neuroscience, Classroom Management, and Family/Community Involvement.

As a Research Assistant & Project Coordinator at the Center for Urban and Multicultural Education (CUME) at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), she served as the project coordinator of all research and evaluation projects. She was responsible for budgets/finance, organization of project tasks, supervising graduate students, and communication with all key partner contacts. She was a member of research and evaluation teams working on a variety of grants, research, and program evaluation projects.

Rose has been an Education Consultant for numerous years and has served as an external evaluator on multiple projects with community organizations and institutions of higher education. She has also provided technical assistance and professional development to LEAs across the country. She has worked with leaders in LEAs to conduct needs assessments, engage in strategic planning, and build capacity. Rose is licensed by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency as a clinical psychologist and has worked with children and families at a community-based mental health center. She is also a former special education teacher.
